Bid specs for 2017 lawn care-

1. Successful bidder shall provide insurance certificate listing the Town of Leicester as additional insured. Primary non-contributory bases for on going and completed operations. General Liability 2 million aggregate. 1 million each occurrence. 1 million umbrella. Workers comp.

2. Contractor is to maintain the following sites. Leicester Cemetery. Boyd and Parker Park. Town Hall and Town Highway Barn. Water tank on Caledonia Rd. Taunton Cemetery on Peoria Rd. (4 times per year)

3. All sites to be mowed 1 time per week unless growth exceeds 4″ within that week. More frequent mowing needs to authorized by the supervisor prior to mowing. Weed eating will be completed during mowing unless growth has slowed and will be at the contractors discretion. Weed eating shall not exceed a 2 week period.

4. Contractor will be solely responsible for any and all damage that may occur during mowing. Any damage to existing head stones will be reported and repaired immediately. All tire rutting from zero turn mowers will be kept to a minimum and repairs will be the responsibility of the contractor.

5. Contractor must make every attempt to minimize grass accumulation on graves and head stones.

The Town  Board has authorized the Highway Superintendent to open the town property at the southern end of Upper Mt. Morris Road (Squakie Hill) to allow all residents a place to dispose of any bio-degradable outdoor yard cleanings such as branches, sticks, leaves, etc.  NO GARBAGE, PLEASE!
